Donnie Poland to Face Death Penalty

Filed under: Public Safety — Paul @ 11:17

I hope the title of this post will be a headline that we will see soon, if the facts of the case are how they have been reported so far.  Hall County Residents should not have to fear being murdered by some worthless punk in their own home.  When I was a prosecutor, I always called out for the ultimate punishment for those who deserved it.  I know Lee Darragh personally, having been his trial partner for years, and I know that he will make the appropriate decision based upon prayerful consideration of the law, the facts (most of which we will not know for some time), and the consultation with relatives of Mr. Baggett, the victim.  We are fortunate to have such a man as Lee Darragh as our District Attorney.

Top Gun Academy Sponsored by Georgia Young Republicans

If you are a Republican Candidate for a contested office this year, and did not attend the Top Gun Academy put on my the Georgia Young Republicans, you missed out!  Some of the top election consultants (e.g. Mark Roundtree) and Randy Evans, the General Counsel of the Georgia Bar came to provide “almost free” advice (the seminar cost $40).  None of the speakers (except Randy) are public speakers by trade, but they did a great job and provided a load of information!  Send an email to Jason if you want a copy of the DVD made at the event.  Top Gun is offered every 2 years to coincide with the election cycle.  Jason Shepherd did an awesome job coordinating the speakers!
