I really love Ted, but he was off base about the Tour de Georgia a few weeks ago. Read the article about the impact on the State here–>Tour de Georgia a boon to state tourism. If there was an emergency, they knew how to handle it and they have emergency plans set out a year in advance. One year when Lance Armstrong was riding, people painted on the roads in the mountains things like “Go Lance!” The people there were incenced about it and called to complain for months until it wore off. Get a life! If you don’t want the Tour de Georgia to go through your town I have a simple solution. Write a check to the local Chamber of Commerce equal to the business it would bring in. If you can’t write that check then stay home for 4 hours that day. Any questions?
